2024 Steamboat Mountain Film Festival Guidelines:

Print, Fill out, and return to Steamboat Mountain Film Festival, c/o  festival organizer Michael Martin, P.O. Box 882322, Steamboat Springs, CO 80488

-Finish line: All submissions must have been completed after September 1, 2022. Works in progress will not be considered. Films will not be returned.

-Festival Notification: You will be notified in writing on or before November 1, 2024 whether your film has been invited to screen with us or not. Please do not call the festival for disposition.

-Loss and Damage: Every precaution will be taken to safeguard all materials submitted while in the possession of the festival. However, we cannot accept or assume responsibility in the event of loss or damage.

-SMFF is an open festival and allows for any “adventure” theme based films, which can be any length. This classification broadens the range of film offerings as it does not need to be an action sport based film. Festival judges will decide which films will be screened  and award the Best Overall title. We have a "Pro" and "Independent" category to separate the big production houses from those on a slim budget. Pro category films we consider to be a production budget over $10,000, Independent, less then. Please distinguish your film by checking whether you are Pro or Independent.

-All submissions must include a teaser and small write up of the full length feature for promotion.

-Applicants assume responsibility for clearing music rights in their films. Festival Sponsors assume no responsibility for any copyright infringements.

-Deadline-The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. October 15, 2024. Entries can be digital or DVD format and can be delivered via email or to the drop box in front of Bristol 311 at Colorado Mountain College or mailed to Steamboat Mountain Film Festival, c/o  festival organizer Michael Martin, P.O. Box 882322, Steamboat Springs, CO 80488
